Dear guests and participants of the ICT Summit 2007!
We would like to thank you for active participation in work of the fifth anniversary Summit on information-communication technologies (ICT Summit 2007), held on September, 27-28th, 2007 within the frame work of information-communication technologies week - InfoCom 2007.
More than 300 delegates from Great Britain, Germany, Canada, Kazakhstan, Korea, the Netherlands, Russia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Japan, and other countries attended the Summit.
As a result of discussions in plenary sessions and thematic sections, the Resolution of the Summit was developed and adopted.
From year to year the ICT Summit is attracting more and more attention of leading national, regional and international experts. Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union Mr. Hamadoun Toure and deputy Prime minister of Republic of Uzbekistan and general director of the Uzbek agency of communication and information Mr. Abdulla Aripov participated in the work of this year’s ICT Summit.
Foreign participant’s of ICT Summit have noted, that current event has once again shown desire and aspiration of the majority of the countries of the world to introduce, as soon as possible, in practice the newest information technologies. So Mr.Toure highly appreciated efforts of Uzbekistan in developing information-communication technologies, among which he pointed out the favorable tariff policy, various privileges for participants of the IT-market, introduction of progressive technologies. All these measures certainly promote realization of recommendations which have been expressed to members of the International Telecommunication Union during the world summits on information society in Geneva and Tunis.
Keeping up with established tradition, the next Summit on information-communication technologies will be held in September of 2008, giving the leading experts of IT-market an opportunity to meet and discuss new tendencies in information-communication sphere.
